Scheduling Service Area Calls
Our Tech Support Department schedules repair service calls. They can be reached at 918-663-8660
Not all technical issues require a service area trip by a technician, and many can be solved over the phone. Should a technician need to visit your home or business, our standard service call is $100 plus parts (if any parts are needed). An adult should be present to authorize the ticket and make any payment.
Communications solves many problems! So, if you have something unexpected that would interfere with a planned Holder’s service call, please call us to make a change.
Your safety is our first priority! Therefore, know that our technicians:
- Have been background checked
- Are certified and trained
- Will present their identification immediately
- Will arrive in a clearly-marked Holder’s vehicle
- Are required to pass a re-examination annually
- Must perform continuing education annually
False alarms are a large portion of service calls. Our customers keeping sensors clean can reduce avoidable issues. Rough general conditions might lead to sensor failure over time. Keeping equipment clean can help it endure. This often eliminates the need for service work.
Also, doing regular status checks will help us diagnose the glitch. Please provide details of your recent system status to help track down any issues. If you can describe your idea of the problem source and when it started, it helps us to serve you.
This can prevent your technician from making more than one trip — one to diagnose and another to gather everything needed for repair. Occasionally, this can also prevent sending two technicians into our service area when you only need one. Avoiding these types of scenarios cuts down on the overall bill.
Occasionally, our techs are greeted by babysitters, older kids living in the house, or family friends not able to help our technician get started. Our tech can be more efficient if someone there will show him/her around. We recommend a household “leader” being home when we arrive.
Complete Basic Service Tasks
If you’ve never done so, try a Google or Bing search on “alarm service call costs.” Most security companies have a standard fee for service calls. Customers pay for the time it takes for a technician to travel to and from their home or business and perform the work.
Most security companies—including ours—offer warranties to lower alarm service call costs. It’s normal for customers to pay a monthly fee for such warranties. This is above and beyond the cost of monthly monitoring.
Smart solutions with modern technology
This might be the time to consider a “smart” security solution, which can be monitored remotely via your phone. Here is more info on that from Holder’s…
